Stained Glass of St George Tombland, Norwich

This lovely church is a treasure trove. Although the majority of glass is post nineteenth century two roundels containing fifteenth century glass can be found in the south aisle. Particularly delightful is the the roundel depicting "The Labours of the month" which despite its age was not inserted in the church until 1977. In the north aisle are two small enamel painted panels which contrast in style to the other windows and are relatively rare in Norwich. They date from the 16th/ 17th century and are foreign in origin.

Although the nineteenth century windows are not outstanding they include work by Clayton and Bell and two windows dating from 1867 which contain strong geometric patterns - an unusual design for the period.

Finally the Magnificat window which was inserted in 1933 comes from the Morris Workshop.
