The spire of St Mary Snettisham was rebuilt in 1895 to the magnificent height of 175 feet. A fitting crown for the 14th century church beneath. There is no medieval glass here but there is some very good victorian glass and a 1969 window by Paul Jeffries.
This window is by Burlisson and Grylls according to the Faculty of 25th January 1913 in the Norfolk Record Office ref. DN/CON175. There is also a note that the figure of Moses was to be in the likeness of Rev. Thomas Wilkinson to whom the window is dedicated. The window was given by Mrs Wilkinson. The original window seems to have been installed in 1855-56 in the then blank east wall by Frederick Preedy (Barnes, G: Frederick Preedy, Architect and Glass Painter 1820-1898. p52.). This was blown out by a bomb dropped by a German Zeppelin in 1915, and re-glazed by Percy Bacon limited in 1920 (Many thanks to Alan Spencer who kindly provided the Information.)
This window is by Frederick Preedy. Each of the three panels portray Moses: striking a rock, with serpent and in the bullrushes.

The window is by William Warrington probably pre 1850 as it is a good example of his early work. The panels depict scenes from the old testament.
